About the event

The Wallpaper History Society’s Annual Lecture 2025 will take us behind the scenes at the recreated German Wallpaper Museum in Kassel.

Founded in Kassel in 1923, the German Wallpaper Museum is known worldwide for its collection on the history of wallpaper but has not generally been open to the public for decades. Now the collection is about to re-open in a brand new purpose-built museum. The museum’s Curator, Dr Astrid Arnold-Wegener will give us a fascinating preview of the new museum and its collection.

The lecture is open to society members and to the public, attending in person or online.
