About the event

Captain Edward Penniman's Cape Cod home provides a striking example of French Second Empire architecture and Victorian interior design.

Last papered in the late nineteenth century, the drawing room contains twelve outstanding wallpapers, all of which have been recently restored and conserved. This talk will describe the history of the project and the collaborative contributions of conservators, wallpaper historians, image specialists and printers.

Angela Campbell is a senior book and paper conservator for the US National Parks Service. She is a professional associate of the American Institute for Conservation and a member of the Council for the International Association of Paper Historians.
