Laura Wilkes Designs is a New Forest–based surface design studio creating handmade wallpaper and textiles inspired by the natural landscapes of the forest and coast. Working from a small workshop, Laura creates nature-led patterns that capture the quiet beauty of wild botanicals, shifting light and the textures found in the landscape around her.
Founded by artist and maker Laura Wilkes, the studio specialises in small-batch, hand-printed wallpapers that celebrate traditional craft and contemporary design. Each design begins as a hand-drawn repeat pattern before being transformed into a lino block, carefully and meticulously carved by hand. The process preserves the character of the maker, with subtle variations and imperfections that make every piece feel considered, authentic and personal.
Rooted in sustainability and a respect for traditional making, Laura Wilkes Designs uses responsibly sourced papers, water-based paints, and thoughtful production methods to create products that are both beautiful and environmentally conscious.
