2027 Bursary applications now open

Applications are now open for the Merryl Huxtable Bursary, awarded annually by the Wallpaper History Society. The aim of the Bursary is to support original research into the history, conservation or development of wallcoverings in the United Kingdom.

If you are a graduate or researcher involved in or about to undertake a project in any of these areas, you are cordially invited to apply. Up to £1,500 may be awarded in any year, and this sum may be awarded singly or divided if there is more than one successful applicant. Full details about the Bursary, previous awards, the application process and deadlines can be found here.

The deadline for applications is January 31st, 2027. The successful applicant or applicants will be announced in March.
