We're looking for a new Honorary Secretary to help run the Wallpaper History Society
The Wallpaper History Society is expanding, and we are looking to recruit a new Secretary to join our committee. Are you interested in being part of a dynamic team which supports wallpaper enthusiasts all round the world?
This is a voluntary post, and all committee meetings are conducted online with the exception of our annual AGM which generally takes place in London.
You will need your own computer and internet connection, and a passion for wallpaper is also desirable! General competence with Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams is expected.
This is a great way to meet new people who share an interest in wallpaper, and to feel that you are contributing to continued success of the Wallpaper History Society.
Within the role, you will:
Be responsible for liaising with the Chair to agree meeting agendas; circulating agendas, minutes and other documents in preparation for meetings; attending and minuting meetings and circulating minutes promptly.
Be responsible for setting up committee meetings using Teams.
Take responsibility for keeping accurate records of decisions made by the committee.
Prepare minutes for the AGM.
Oversee file naming and file management within shared folders.
Act as first point of contact for Microsoft365.
Work with committee colleagues to build a digital archive of the Society’s records.
Support the Chair in driving Society activity.
If you are interested in the post please contact the current Secretary, Eleanor Brooke-Peat (secretary@wallpaperhistorysociety.org.uk) or the Chair, Zoe Hendon for an informal chat about what's involved (chair@wallpaperhistorysociety.org.uk). We hope to elect a new Secretary at the AGM on 20th November.
